A career change to the world of Driving Instruction.

IDT will interview you to ensure that you understand what is required to become an instructor and that your personality would suit working in this profession.

Our training is carried out on a one to one basis to achieve the best possible results and give best value for money. This approach does not mean high costs and in fact our charges may be as little as 60% of what you would be paying to the larger national organisations.

You will be taking three Tests. Your fees will include the provision of the DSA Starter pack plus all required reading materials and computer programmes. Also covered is the use of a dual controlled car for the Part 3 course of your driving instructor training.

Part 1
Is the multi-choice Theory test which will incorporate the Hazard Perception Test both of which require a high standard to pass. You will be receiving backup to help you through this.

Part 2
Is about your Driving ability. Once more the standard required is extremely high and training will be given to help you to achieve this standard.

Part 3
Is the test of Instructional Ability. During this you will be trained to teach pupils with your Trainer role playing. To say the least this is probably the hardest section of your driving instructor training and absorbs a large amount of time. You will be provided with teaching aids tailored to your own personality. You will also be sitting in on lessons.

Discounts are available should you wish to pay for the complete course at the start. Alternatively you will be paying for each module as you progress. A further discount will be made if you are able to supply a suitable dual controlled car for the Part 3 Course.
